Digital Book Award 2025:

In 2025, the Award was not granted due to an insufficient number of high-quality submissions available for teachers’ evaluations. The next submission window will open in 2026.

About the Award:

The Children’s Digital Book Award is the only award focused on children’s reading on screen and judged by teachers. It recognises innovation, creativity and excellence in digital book publishing. The Award was launched on the 9th of March 2015 and it aims to reward apps, e-books and other digital interactive products that use sounds, visuals, and interaction in innovative ways to make a child’s experience of the story richer and more meaningful. The Award is run in partnership with the Open University and runs every two years.

Submissions:

  • Submissions open in September every second year,
  • The judging and evaluation in schools happens in the spring and awards are announced and given in the summer, at the annual UKLA conference,
  • Submissions should be made by sending the application form that is available below.
