Enriching Grammar Teaching Conference

A day of workshops and presentations on teaching grammar across the primary curriculum

Enriching Grammar Teaching Conference

This one-day conference has been developed for primary teachers across EYFS, KS1 and KS2. Teachers of KS3 with an interest in teaching grammar are also welcome to attend. 

Featuring David Reedy, and Nikki Gamble from Just Imagine. The key ideas addressed include exploration of:

  • Evidence-based approaches to teaching grammar,
  • Enriching grammar teaching through the use of high quality texts
  • Progression in grammar from EYFS through KS1 to KS2
  • Embedding grammar into the curriculum and ensuring children apply their learning
  • Working with parents and others to support the teaching of grammar
  • The development of teacher subject knowledge in the teaching of grammar.

Workshops will be delivered by excellent, local primary practitioners who are teaching grammar effectively. Each session will give a plethora of practical classroom activities and will set aside a dedicated reflection time where you can discuss ideas and plan follow up activities and strategies with colleagues. There will be time for Q&A and planning for impact at the end of the day. You will receive a pack of resources including a free copy of Teaching Grammar Effectively in the Primary School and ready to use resources on a memory stick.

Prices (Includes attendance at keynote and workshops, all resources, lunch and refreshments):
£99 early bird course fee per person (for bookings before 5.00pm 26 February 2016)
£130 discounted fee per teacher working at University partnership schools
£120 per person if 2 or more staff attend from same partnership school.
£160 standard fee per person (non-partnership schools)
