Learning Outside the Classroom Teacher Taster Session
The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom is delivering a series of learning outside the classroom Teacher Taster sessions in the West Midlands, East of England and Yorkshire and the Humber and we’d love you to take part. Learning outside the classroom (LOtC) is a powerful tool for teaching and learning which provides memorable experiences beyond the classroom walls and contributes to improved behaviour, motivation and attainment. Whether you are an ITT or PGCE student, NQT or a seasoned teacher, discover firsthand the value and benefits learning outside the classroom. This free half day session will offer talks, practical demonstrations and group activities from LOtC providers in the region. Spark your imagination and consider how you can introduce regular LOtC into your teaching practice. It is an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded people, find out more about LOtC and learn about the support available to you. You can expect to hear from:
- A member of the Outdoor Education Advisors Panel
- A case study from a school which has successfully introduced LOtC into the curriculum.
- Food for Life Partnership
- LOtC Quality Badge providers in the region
