Bringing together key ideas about teaching writing this exciting conference will provide an opportunity to keep up to date with local and national initiatives.  Paper and on screen texts will be a central theme to the conference explored through examples of high quality and creative literacy teaching and learning centred on equipping children to communicate effectively in the twenty first century.   • Two key note speakers:

Dr Paul Johnson recognised for his pioneering work in developing literacy through book arts and paper technology. Professor Guy Merchant known for his influential and thought provoking research in the area of ‘the digital’.

  • There will also be time to learn about professional organisations such as the United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA), browse and buy resources from bookstalls, education stands and publishers’ exhibitions.
