Enjoy, achieve and inspire: Great literacy teaching Gill Matthews Trevor Wright

Gill’s expertise as an educational and publishing consultant and her practical classroom experience, combined with her humorous and lively style makes her an inspirational and fascinating speaker. Trevor is also an inspirational English teacher and has expertise in Key Stage 3 English teaching – together they will delight and inspire us – reminding us that we are all great English literacy teachers. Gill Matthews is a freelance literacy consultant and writer. Gill works with and in schools, supporting improvements in literacy. As a series editor, Gill is responsible for several major literacy programmes, notably Literacy World and Rigby Dimensions. Gill is also a Regional Adviser for Literacy with the Primary National Strategy in the West Midlands. Trevor Wright is the author of ‘How to be a Brilliant English Teacher’ and is an inspirational English teacher. He is involved in Secondary English teacher education at the University of Worcester and is also author of How to be a Brilliant Trainee Teacher (2007) Routledge.
