Literacy Across the Curriculum

This event took place Saturday February 28th, 2015

Target audience: Teachers (primary and secondary), librarians, teaching assistants, literacy and ICT subject leaders, literacy and ICT consultants, advisors, heads of English, lecturers and English tutors, ASTs with an English or literacy specialism. The 2015 UKLA National Conference at Cardiff Metropolitan University will provide a stimulating and enjoyable opportunity for all those working in the field of literacy across the whole 5-16 age range to reflect on practice and gather new ideas.  Keynote speakers include Andrew Lambirth, Greenwich University, and David Reedy UKLA President. There will also be a keynote speech from children's author Vivian French and five workshops led  by Wayne Tennent (UEL) and Jim Grant (Torriano Infant School, Camden), Zoe Toft (children's book consultant), Tracy Parvin (Canterbury Christ Church University),  primary school teacher Carrie Fisher and Alastair Daniel (University of Winchester). Also joining us will be Norfolk Children’s Book Centre and the UKLA bookshop. We are offering a limited number of reduced price places at £25 on a first come first served basis for PGCE students.
