Are you working in or studying education? Do you have an interest in best practice and current research in Literacy? Have you ever thought about joining the UKLA?

Or are you already a member but would like to know more about the special interest groups (SIGs) and research opportunities for UKLA members?

This online, open access UKLA showcase event will share up-to-date information about recent and ongoing UKLA funded research projects with children, young people, educators and families across a variety of ages and settings. These range from exploring Reception children’s responses to challenging picture books, and outdoor nature-based literacy learning with families of under-fives, to investigating ways in which teachers and pupils use AI in teaching writing, and the experience of neurodivergent book groups for secondary pupils.

We will share the work of some of the UKLA special interest groups which bring together practitioners and academics to focus on specific aspects of literacy including storytelling, multilingualism, and participatory research methodologies.

Members and non-members are warmly welcome to join us to find out more about the fabulous work of UKLA members and ways to get involved through research grants funding and SIG activities.
