Longlists for 2010 Children’s book Awards announced today
The United Kingdom Literacy Association (UKLA) is delighted that teachers in Hampshire will select the UKLA Children’s Book Awards in 2010. The UKLA Children’s Book Awards are national awards conferred by education professionals and are held in high esteem by teachers, who regard the shortlists as a reliable indicators of the best books of the year for inclusion in class and school collections. Our awards are unique as they are the only national awards selected by teachers. The awards will be presented at a wine reception at the University of Winchester on Thursday July 8th 4.30-6pm. All teachers from participating schools and UKLA members will be invited, together with shortlisted authors and their publishers. View the longlists.
