The Egmont Reading for Pleasure Teacher Awards

In partnership with the Open University and the UK Literacy Association

The publisher Egmont is collaborating with the Open University and the UK Literacy Association to build reciprocal and interactive communities of readers. To promote this aim three award categories have been established: early career teacher, experienced teacher, and a whole school award. The judges will be children's author and poet Michael Rosen, David Reedy from the ULKA, Teresa Cremin from the Open University, Cally Poplak and Alison David from Egmont Publishing and Joy Court who is chair of the CILIP Carnegie & Kate Greenaway Medals Reviews and Editor of The School Librarian Journal. The winners will receive Egmont books to the value of £250 for your school, 20 copies of Help Your Child Love Reading by Alison David, a trophy and they will be profiled on the Research Rich Pedagogies Reading for Pleasure website.
