Rebecca Simpson-Hargreaves is a Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Manchester, where they lead across multiple courses in the field of Early Years and Primary Education. Her field of research is centred children’s literature, in particular for exploring child voice, human rights and the use of poetry for social justice. Constantly striving to ensure high quality literacy education, she engages with policy makers and is always keen to develop researcher and practitioner partnerships. As well as being the Convenor for the UKLA Conference Committee, Rebecca is a member of the UKLA Awards Committee and Book Awards Panel, the UKLA Academic Book Awards Panel and the Publicity and Communications Committee.
