The English in Initial Teacher Education (ITE) SIG is a forum for those who work in English in ITE to share, develop and innovate practice, and collaborate with each other in research and development projects.
The group brings together a community of lecturers, researchers, practitioners, and others with an interest in English in ITE. We meet monthly for informal ‘tea time’ catch up sessions to discuss, share good practice and ask questions as well as organising an annual online conference around a theme.
The SIG aims to provide a space for open discussion around the challenges of working in English in ITE, as well as networking opportunities to make links and forge collaborations with colleagues from a wide range of ITE providers.
The English in ITE SIG is co-convened by Sarah Brownsword at University of East Anglia and Teresa Cremin at the Open University. For more information please contact Sarah Brownsword S.Brownsword@uea.ac.uk
