Louise Couceiro will draw on her previous doctoral work to discuss some of the opportunities and challenges of using a participatory approach to researching children’s engagement with biographies using online methods. As part of the research, Louise collaborated with participants to co-design a reader response toolkit, which allowed them to select their own arts-based methods to respond to the texts. Louise Couceiro is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Oxford. Louise’s research is primarily centred on children and young people in/and education, with specific focus on social justice and inequalities. Her research interests span children’s literature and literacies, and children’s digital and technological engagements.
